Our client is a growing American company, leader in the IoT platform for almost 20 years, with offices in Canada, US and Switzerland. Their solutions improve asset performance, predict maintenance, reduce energy consumption, increase yield and more. They are ready to expand their team in their Montreal’s office by hiring a couple of more intermediate and senior Java developers.

The main tasks:

• Responsible for Back-end development tasks, including maintenance of their SaaS applications.
• Coding to meet scheduled defined specifications, including enhancements, creation of new functions, composition of data-driven reports, and testing.
• Develop, modify and design software elements and modules based on functional and system specs.
• Ensure Architectural integrity and product quality.
• Participate in testing process and code debugging.
• Collaborate with product managers and development team to understand the specs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Develop schema to meet specifications.
• Adhere to their established processes and tools.
• Contribute ideas for process improvement, coding practices, tools and standards.
• Participate and contribute to development team project meetings and scrums.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proficient with:

  - Java, JSP, JSF, JBoss / Tomcat, Windows & Linux operating Systems.

• Experience with:

- Eclipse IDE, Web Services (SOAP, API, REST), MySQL.

• An asset if you know:

  - JSF, JavaScript, BIRT, Hibernate, MS SQL Server, C++.

• Fluent in English reading, writing & speaking. French is an asset.
• Experience working both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Some international travel is required, particularly to their New York office – Valid Passport.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Diploma in IT, preferably programing.

Salary: Between 60 000$ and 85 000$ per year, according to the experience.

Schedule: Daytime / flexible schedule / 40 hours per week.

Status: Permanent
