A great insurance firm in Montreal East is currently looking for a new person to join their accounting department. Efficient, rigour and professional make the perfect accounting technician we are looking for. Could this be you?

Under the supervision of the Senior Accountant, you will have to:

• Manage providers’ accounts – Follow-up on accounts payable, prepare payments, respect schedules/agreements, etc.;
• Manage accounts receivable – mainly the follow-up on the status of accounts, receipt and bank deposits;
• Prepare, have approve and do monthly bank reconciliations;
• Do monthly closures;
• Balance many reports with ledger accounts;
• Do book entry in the general journal;
• Help prepare the monthly file for statement accounts;
• Confirm and code invoices;
• Create many monthly reports and distribute them to who is allowed;
• Other tasks requested by your supervisor.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be efficient and structured in their work;
• Be able to work and respect given schedules;
• Take initiative and be organized.

Requirements:

• DVS or DCS in accounting -an asset;
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting;
• Be comfortable working in a computer-based environment;
• Great knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel);
• Knowledge of the TAM software – an asset;
• Perfectly bilingual – Spoken and written.

Salary: 40 000$ to 45 000$ per year, based on experience

Schedule: Day, from 8am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm / 37.5h per week

Status: Permanent
