Your experience in big companies interest us! Our client is an international company in the construction field and wants to add an accounting technician in their head office in Montreal. They offer a 6 month contract with strong chances of a permanent hire.  

Under the supervision of the vice-president, the work mostly consists of:

  • Handling the entire accounting cycle.
  • In collaboration with the other accounting technician, you will be in charge of expense accounts and account payables.
  • Being in charge of billing clients and the different divisions.
  • Constantly being in contact with the other divisions across Canada.
  • Taking care of daily treasury.
  • Analyzing accounts and preparing many book entries.
  • Making bank reconciliations and bank deposits.
  • Helping the consolidation.
  • Writing many documents and reports.
  • Updating files.
  • Any other tasks required for the position.

Requirements:

  • DCS in accounting or the equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as an accounting technician.  
  • Experience in a corporate environment and large companies - Essential.
  • Very good level of bilingualism (frequent contact with other divisions in Canada).
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards, an asset.

Salary: 45 000$ per year

Schedule: Day, from 8am to 5pm / 40 hours per week.

Status: 6 month contract with possible permanence.
