ART SOUTERRAIN is a non-profit organization striving to challenge the way contemporary artistic practices are viewed and understood by the general public. As a unique festival in North America, we exhibit works of art in Montreal’s underground city and hope to foster and to enrich this often under-appreciated cultural heritage site. We wish to widen the public's understanding of the art world and to encourage them to be involved with artists, institutions, broadcasters and specialized media. The festival aims to always offer more to our artists, our platforms and our public.
